This Privacy Policy document is intended to inform you of the policies and procedures of E.L.A. Project / LLIDS with regards to collection/use/sharing of the general information automatically recorded and the Personal Information provided by you, irrespective of the mode in which we receive your information (whether via website, phone, emails, or any other medium).
Collection and Usage of Information:
- E.L.A Project collects information from the donors/users in a number of ways, for example when the user/donor:
- – Makes a donation
- – Signs up for our services
- – Applies for a position
- – Writes us an email
- E.L.A. Project takes your privacy seriously and treats all personal and financial information about any transaction you have with E.L.A. Project strictly confidential and this information is secured safely. In addition, E.L.A. Project does not share e-mail addresses or phone numbers of any of our donors or constituents with any external agencies or third party individuals.
- All relevant information collected through E.L.A Project website is handled and used by internal and/or authorized officials only.
We maintain the following policies to protect the privacy of our donors/users:
We may request personal information online, such as Name, Address, PAN, Phone Number, and Email Address ONLY for the purposes of accepting donations/payment to E.L.A. Project
- We will not release or use this information for any other purpose unless we have your consent.
- We do not trade or sell your personal information with other organisations.
- We offer donors the option to be recognised anonymously.
- Donors may request, at any time, to not receive our solicitations.
- Donors/users may request not to receive certain mailings.
We use personal information collected from donors/users for the purposes of processing payments and communicating with donors/users about E.L.A Project, to share information about our projects, and for fundraising purposes. This information may include name, amount donated, PAN, address, telephone number, donor comments, e-mail address, and any other personal information provided to us (“Donor Data”). For donations by check, Donor Data also includes the data visible on the check.
Information from Payment Processors and Other Service Providers: Payment processors allow donors/users to give electronically using a payment services account, a credit card, or other payment method. These processors collect certain information from donors, and you should consult their privacy policies to determine their practices.
How we use that information:
Donor/user data may be used for these kinds of purposes:
- Distributing receipts and thanking donors for donations.
- Informing donors/users about upcoming fundraising and other activities of E.L.A Project.
- Record keeping.
- Reporting to applicable government agencies as required by law.
- Other purposes related to the fundraising operations.
Users’/Donors’ Rights:
To ensure that your contributions merit respect and trust, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in our not-for-profit organization and causes they are asked to support, we assure the following:
- To be informed of the E.L.A Project’s mission
- To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals representing the E.L.A Project to the donor will be professional.
- To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that the E.L.A Project may intend to share.
- To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers.
You browse the website anonymously. We do not require you to identify yourself or reveal any personal information while browsing through the website. The general information automatically recorded while you browse the website may be used for statistical analysis, for tracking overall traffic patterns on the website and to gauge the public interest in the Organization and the website. We may share general information such as anonymous user usage data, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform types, asset views, number of clicks, etc. with third-parties to gain a better understanding of usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality related to the Website.

By visiting our website and using any of the Services available through our website, you expressly consent to the processing of your Personal Information according to this Privacy Policy. By using the Services or submitting Personal Information through the Services, you are expressly consenting to such processes. To the extent you provide Personal Information about a named person or entity that is not a current user of our Services, you represent that you have that person or entity’s consent to do so.
Sharing & Disclosure of Information:
- E.L.A. Project is not liable in any manner whatsoever in case of hacking, phishing or any such related cyber crimes for loss, damage or harm caused to you, whether direct, consequential or incidental, by the misuse of your Personal Information by a third party who is not an employee of the Organization.
- In case of detection of any illegal or inappropriate activity by any user (individual or organization) on/in/within/of our website or confidential information and/or property or mishandling and/or harming of any of the Organization donors, employees, partners, volunteers etc., the Organization will disclose the information (with or without notifying you) as we deem fit.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
For Subscriptions/Donations:
No refund/cancellation requests by any subscriber/donor will be entertained for subscriptions/donations made either in cash or cheque form or through the online payment gateway after the donation is accepted. In case of Online Payment Gateway service providers, we may evaluate such a request if there is a fraud notification from our Payment Gateway Service Providers. Also, in case of an unlikely event of an erroneous donation E.L.A Project will respond to the subscriber/donor within 30 working days of receiving a valid request for refund from the subscriber/donor. The timely refund of the amount will depend upon the type of credit card/banking instrument used during the transaction. The subscriber/donor will have to send E.L.A Project a written request for a refund at its official email address within 1 day of making the subscription/donation – admin@elaproject.org along with payment receipt and personal details necessary for initiating the refund.
