Wayne E. Arnold (waynearnold55@gmail.com) is an Associate Professor of American Studies at the University of Kitakyushu, Japan. Having earned his PhD in American literature at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, USA, he has been teaching American culture and literature in Japan since 2013, including seminar courses on travel cultures, urban studies, and American culture. His research focus uncovers Henry Miller’s relationship with Japan which has made him access more than 28 archive libraries around the world.
