Dr. Angus McBlane is Visiting Assistant Professor (Philosophy and Cultural Theory) in Humanities and Social Sciences and a member of the Centre for Cognitive Science at Indian Institute of Technology – Gandhinagar and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Cultural Studies programme at Queen’s University (Canada). He received his PhD in Critical and Cultural Theory from Cardiff University (Wales, UK), after completing an MA in Religion and Modernity (Queen’s University, Canada) and BA in Humanities (Simon Fraser University, Canada). His current research focuses on the development of Posthumanist Philosophy with an analytic focus on embodiment and expression.
Areas of Interest: Critical and Cultural Theory; Phenomenology; Comparative Philosophy & Theory; Posthumanism; Visual Culture (Film, Video Games, Comic Books); Global Speculative, Weird, Pulp, and Science Fictions.
