Call for Guest Editors
Language, Literature, and Interdisciplinary Studies (LLIDS, https://ellids.com/), an open-access peer-reviewed research journal, is inviting Guest Editor applicants for the Issue 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 of its Volume 6, which deals with the topic of Body Studies. Each Volume of LLIDS is based on a particular theme which is then sub-divided into four perspectives for the consequent four Issues constituting the Volume. Volume 6 has been planned as follows:
- Issue 6.1 – Reconfiguring Corporeality in 21st Century (CFP closed)
- Issue 6.2 – Body and Sexuality: Beyond Cultural Binaries (https://ellids.com/call-for-papers/body-and-sexuality-beyond-cultural-binaries/)
- Issue 6.3 – Rethinking Body in Medical Humanities (https://ellids.com/call-for-papers/rethinking-body-in-medical-humanities/)
- Issue 6.4 – Mediations of Body: Representations in the Popular Space (https://ellids.com/call-for-papers/mediations-of-body-in-popular-spaces-culture/)
The responsibility of the Guest Editors will include, but not be limited to:
- Promoting the CFP and commissioning papers for the theme of the Issue – The guest editor is expected to approach scholars from their own field to submit papers and contribute to the Issue.
- Processing the submissions received along with the editorial team.
- Writing the editorial note for the Issue.
- Editorial review of each submission received under the theme of the Issue. In addition to writing the editorial, the guest editor can also contribute a paper for the theme. However, all final publication decisions are taken by the editorial team of LLIDS.
- It is an unpaid position, which will last the duration of the Issue Publication.
To apply for the position of the guest editor, the candidate must:
- Have research experience in the field of the theme of the Issue.
- Be willing to commit to the timeline of the publication.
All interested and qualifying candidates are invited to submit their applications along with a CV, a small write-up on the theme of the specific Issue (1000-2500 words), and a tentative list of people to approach for submissions.
