Professor, University of Delhi

Professor Om Prakash Singh is a historian specializing in Ancient Indian History, with over 20 years of teaching experience at the University of Delhi, India. He’s currently a Professor at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, University of Delhi. His research focuses on iron technology, social change, and archaeology in early India, exploring the intersections of history, culture, and environment.
Prof. Singh has published notable books like Pracheen Bharat; Pragaitihasik kal se 300 isvee tak and Archaeology of Iron and Social Change in Early South India. He’s also contributed numerous research articles to reputed journals and participated in national and international conferences. His work has shed light on lesser-known aspects of Indian history, including tribal republics and early historic archaeology.
Prof. Singh has contributed to curriculum development for the University of Delhi’s history programs. He’s delivered invited lectures at various national and international platforms. He’s also created educational content for UGC-CEC, producing video lectures on ancient Indian history and economy.
